Conditions of Entry

1.  First prize is an Antonio Pacelli dress bag which has once again been very kindly donated by Pauline Henshaw from
Irish Dance Wear Australia.  This year there will also be a special prize for the best design from a child under the age of 16.  That prize is a pair of Corr's Irish softshoes which has been very kindly donated by Sally Kessell from Kilkenny Irish Dancewear.  Both Irish Dance Wear Australia and Kilkenny Irish Dancewear are located in Sydney, Australia.  All conditions of entry apply to both prizes.  If the winner of the first prize is also under the age of 16 then the second best design from a person under the age of 16 will win the shoes.  If there are no entries from dancers under the age of 16 then the prize will be given to the best design by a dancer (other than the dress bag winner).

2. This competition is open to amateur designers only.  Previous winners of any design competitions run by Colleen of Canberra are not eligible to enter.

3. Design must be black and white and submitted in jpeg format by 30 June 2004.

4. Designs must be suitable for an open level dress which could be worn to a feis.  The design should include front and back of dress.

5. All entries received become the property of Colleens' of Canberra and will be available for use by anyone free of copyright and free of any fees and charges.

6. At the completion of the competition, all designers will recieve notification by email and the winners will be announced on the Australian Irish Dancing Messageboard, the Costume Makers Messageboard and the New Irish Dance Messageboard.

7. Three judges will choose in accordance with the above guidelines which they consider to be the best design.  Colleen of Canberra will not be part of the judging committee.

8. Entries should be emailed to colrus@optusnet.com.au and should be identified in the subject by "Entry for 2004 Design Competition".
