Annelies Danton,
Holland
Annelies has been making her own clothes for over 20 years.  Being a mother of three dancing daughters, the eldest being an intermediate dancer who needed a solo-dress, made her think of trying to make the costume herself.  At first she made a try-out costume for a display but she had lots of problems with the stiffener.  Annelies and her eldest daughter Annemarie designed their dress themselves.  Later on they discovered Colleens' of Canberra and found so many lovely designs.  Annemarie has chosen the design of Caroline Vermeulen, also from Holland, and the dress has become a success.  Annelies and Annemarie are now making designs and finding fabrics has become their passion.   Irish Dancing is quite unknown in the Netherlands so the Internet is a great help to them.

In the future Annelies would like to continue to make dresses for her daughters and they will make designs on demand.

Many, many thanks to Annelies Danton for donating this Irish dance dress design to Colleens' of Canberra.
Did you know that while over 200+ dresses have been made using the designs from Colleens' of Canberra very few donations have been received.  If you use this design please consider making a donation to help keep this website operational.
