| Kay is a mother of two Irish dancers (one long since retired) and lives in a small Ontario (Canada) town named Bradford. Ten years ago Kay's eldest daughter talked her into helping her design and colour patterns for what she envisioned as her first solo dress. It turned out to be one of many as her daughter had the audacity to keep growing! Kay's younger daughter joined in the fun at age 8, she is still dancing and Kay is still designing. Over the years Kay has been asked to design for others and loves it. Kay is like a child at Christmas in a fabric store. Her children both dread it when she spots one as they know Kay will be there for hours if they don't bodily drag her out.They have resigned themselves to making their own dinners etc. when Kay is drawing and her husband has even gotten into the act by designing and making a proper tracing/drawing table for her. It has been a wonderful experience so far and Kay has designs being worn in the US, Canada and the UK. |
